Nigerian rap superstar Olamide is set to headline London’s iconic O2 Arena on March 25, 2027, marking another significant milestone in his international career. The concert will see the award-winning rapper perform at the 20,000-capacity venue, following his successful headline show at OVO Arena Wembley in November 2025. His upcoming performance will also place him among a select group of Nigerian artists who have headlined the prestigious arena.
The announcement represents another major moment for Nigerian music, as Afrobeats and its associated genres continue to attract audiences across the globe. Olamide, popularly known as Baddo, has built a reputation as one of the influential figures in Nigeria’s music industry, combining Yoruba rap, street-hop and Afrobeats while helping shape the careers of emerging artists.
His upcoming O2 Arena concert follows his November 2025 performance at OVO Arena Wembley, where he delivered a career-spanning set featuring some of his biggest songs. The show also featured appearances from artists associated with his musical journey, including Asake, Lil Kesh and Pheelz. The performance demonstrated the enduring appeal of his catalogue and the strong connection he maintains with Nigerian music fans in the United Kingdom.
The move to The O2 represents a step up in venue capacity and offers Olamide an opportunity to reach an even larger audience in London. The arena has hosted major Nigerian stars, including Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Asake and Rema, whose performances have helped establish it as an important landmark for African music on the international stage.
Beyond his achievements as a recording artist, Olamide has played a significant role in developing Nigeria’s music industry through YBNL Nation, the record label he founded. The label has been associated with the rise of artists such as Fireboy DML, Asake, Adekunle Gold and Lil Kesh. His influence extends beyond his own music, with his work as a mentor and executive helping introduce new talent and sounds to mainstream audiences.
The March 2027 concert is expected to celebrate different stages of Olamide’s career, although the full line-up of guest performers and production details have yet to be confirmed. According to The O2’s official event listing, doors are scheduled to open at 6:30 p.m. UK time. Ticket presales are scheduled to begin on October 21, 2026, with general sales expected to open on October 23.
Olamide’s upcoming headline performance is more than another international concert; it reflects his lasting influence on Nigerian music and the continued expansion of its global audience. Following his Wembley success, the rapper now has another opportunity to bring his music to one of London’s biggest stages, further cementing his legacy as an artist who has helped shape the sound and direction of contemporary Nigerian music.
