FIFA has officially launched a modern international broadcast centre in Dallas, marking a major milestone in preparations for the 2026 World Cup, which will be the largest in tournament history and will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The facility, located at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, will coordinate worldwide television, radio, and digital coverage of the tournament. It is expected to host thousands of journalists and production staff, while also managing live feeds from all 16 host cities across North America.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the centre as the “heart” of the tournament’s global broadcast operations, emphasizing its role in delivering coverage of what is expected to be the most widely viewed World Cup in history.
The 2026 edition of the World Cup will be the largest ever staged, featuring 48 teams and 104 matches across the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
Dallas was selected as the broadcast hub due to its upgraded infrastructure and experience hosting major international sporting events, including its previous role as a media centre during the 1994 World Cup. The city is also set to host multiple tournament matches at AT&T Stadium, which FIFA will refer to as “Dallas Stadium.”
Officials say the broadcast centre will play a critical role in ensuring seamless global coverage, allowing fans around the world to follow matches in real time with enhanced production quality and multi-platform streaming support.
As preparations continue, the opening of the Dallas hub signals FIFA’s final phase of operational readiness ahead of kickoff, positioning the city as a central node in the tournament’s worldwide media network.
