Nigerian Afrobeats star Omah Lay has postponed the remaining dates of his Clarity of Mind World Tour after sustaining a knee ligament injury, leaving fans across several countries waiting for new concert dates. The singer announced on October 26, 2026, that all performances scheduled from October 30 onwards would be postponed as he focuses on recovery over the next four to six weeks.
In a message shared on social media, Omah Lay expressed disappointment over the decision, telling fans he was heartbroken that he could not continue with the tour as planned. He assured them that information about rescheduled performances and ticket arrangements would be communicated later. No replacement dates have been confirmed so far.
The announcement followed reports that the singer had been taken to hospital in Los Angeles after injuring his leg during rehearsals. Reports suggested the injury occurred while he was attempting an acrobatic stunt, although his official announcement confirmed the knee ligament injury without detailing how it happened.
The tour, named after his second studio album, Clarity of Mind, began on September 25 in Edmonton, Canada, and was scheduled to travel through several cities across North America, Oceania, the Middle East and Europe before concluding in Warsaw, Poland, on November 30. The postponement affects upcoming performances across the tour, including dates in Istanbul, Zurich, Brussels, Berlin, Milan and London.
Released in April 2026, Clarity of Mind represents the latest chapter in Omah Lay’s musical journey, following his rise to prominence in 2020 with songs such as “Bad Influence” and “You.” His distinctive blend of Afrobeats, introspective songwriting and emotionally driven melodies has helped him build an international audience. His collaboration with Davido, “With You,” also earned him a nomination at the 2026 Grammy Awards in the Best African Music Performance category.
Although the postponement is a setback for the singer and fans who had planned to attend the shows, Omah Lay is prioritising his recovery before returning to the stage. Ticket holders are advised to monitor official announcements and their ticket providers for updates on rescheduled dates and ticket arrangements. For now, fans will have to wait for further news as the singer takes time to recover from the injury.
