Nigerian music producer and songwriter Sarz has officially surpassed 700 million streams across all credits on Spotify. The milestone places him among a select group of Nigerian artists and producers whose music has achieved massive international streaming success.

Sarz becomes the 30th Nigerian artist to cross the 700 million-stream mark on Spotify, underlining his long-standing influence in shaping the modern Afrobeats sound.

Widely regarded as one of the most innovative producers in African music, Sarz has spent more than a decade crafting hit records for some of the continent’s biggest stars, including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Asake, Lojay, BNXN, Niniola, and Joeboy. His signature production style — known for its rhythmic depth, smooth percussion, and fusion of Afrobeats with global sound, has helped define a generation of Nigerian music.

Several of Sarz’s biggest streaming successes have come through collaborations that resonated strongly with global audiences. Songs such as Monalisa, Happiness, and Getting Paid have contributed significantly to his streaming numbers, with some tracks accumulating tens of millions of plays individually.

The achievement comes at a time when Afrobeats continues its rapid expansion internationally, with Nigerian artists regularly appearing on global charts, major festival lineups, and streaming rankings. Industry analysts say producers like Sarz have played a crucial role in pushing the genre beyond Africa by creating sounds that appeal to audiences worldwide.

Sarz has also remained active musically in recent months. His latest collaboration with BNXN, Back Outside, recently climbed to the number one spot on Nigeria’s Top 100 chart, adding further momentum to his growing catalogue.

Over the years, the producer has built a reputation not only for creating chart-topping songs but also for mentoring emerging talent and experimenting with new musical directions. His projects have consistently blended Afrobeats with elements of R&B, amapiano, dancehall, and electronic music, helping broaden the genre’s appeal internationally.
