South African sensation Tyla has just made headlines again with her back to back victory at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), taking home Best Afrobeats for her sultry track “Push 2 Start”. “Push 2 Start” also earned a nomination for Best Choreography.

This win marks Tyla’s second consecutive VMA in the Best Afrobeats category, following her 2024 victory for “Water”. In fact, she’s now the category’s most successful artist, with two wins.

She shared her excitement about the win and teased her upcoming album, calling it “Coming In Hot,” while giving a shout out to African musicians and her team.

Tyla arrived in style, wearing a vintage 1993 Chanel top repurposed as a micro mini dress; a daring nod to high fashion. She paired it with black briefs and layered Pandora jewelry (she’s a brand ambassador), topped off with sleek hair, natural makeup, a green manicure, and Louboutin heels.
