85,000 households will receive visits from manufacturers after a serious fire risk was identified in certain tumble dryers, prompting urgent action from safety authorities. In response, the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has now announced a comprehensive remedial programme aimed at addressing the issue directly in affected homes.
