Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido delivered a standout performance at the 2026 edition of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, bringing his amazing energy to one of the world’s biggest music platforms and leaving a lasting impression on a diverse international audience.
Held in Indio, California, Coachella remains one of the most influential music festivals globally, drawing top-tier artists and fans from across continents. Against this backdrop, Davido’s appearance marked a significant moment, as he stepped onto the stage as one of the few African artists on the lineup, proudly representing the genre on a global scale.
From the moment he took the stage, Davido commanded attention with a high-energy set filled with some of his biggest hits. Tracks like “Fall,” “Unavailable,” “Kante,” “Dami Duro,” and “Skelewu” had the crowd singing along and dancing, showcasing not just his catalogue but the global reach of Afrobeats music. His performance was marked by vibrant stage presence, crowd engagement, and an undeniable connection with fans, many of whom embraced the rhythm and energy of his sound regardless of background.
Beyond the music, the performance stood out for its cultural impact. Davido’s set carried a strong sense of identity, blending contemporary Afrobeats with the kind of stage charisma that has made him one of Africa’s most recognizable musical exports. His ability to seamlessly translate local sound into a global experience was evident throughout the performance, reinforcing his role as a key figure in the genre’s international rise.
Wizkid and Tems also made an appearance during Justin Bieber’s set with “Essence’s” remix, a song that topped charts during its release in 2021. Each artist went all in with their smooth vocals, giving the audience an unforgettable experience. What first began as a duo performance with Tems and Justin Bieber on “I Think You’re Special,” erupted into something more amazing when Wizkid joined them on stage for “Essence”.
