Nigerian hitmaker Young Jonn has confirmed that his much-anticipated album Blue Disco will finally drop on Friday, November 28, 2025, after being postponed from its original November 21 release.

The delay came just a day before the initial rollout, as Young Jonn cited growing insecurity across Nigeria as the reason he could not proceed with a celebratory launch. He expressed concern over the country’s climate — describing it as “unbearable” — and called for peace, unity and responsible leadership before proceeding with the album release.

“Blue Disco” has been one of the most talked-about projects of 2025. Initially announced as completed in early October, the project was first revealed to include 20 tracks. Since then, the full tracklist was expanded to 21, and the album has built significant hype thanks to earlier singles like “Che Che” (featuring Asake) and “Cash Flow” (featuring Wizkid).

The announced collaborators on Blue Disco read like a who’s-who of Afrobeats and global music, from Wizkid, Asake, and Rema to Olamide, plus international acts such as Shenseea, Franglish and Focalistic.

This album represents a turning point for Young Jonn, a shift from celebrated hitmaker-producer to a bona fide Afrobeats star with a full-fledged album. It’s being positioned as a sonic journey where rhythm, emotion and global appeal meet, blending Afrobeats, disco, and pop influences.

With the new release date now official, anticipation remains sky-high as fans prepare for one of the standout African music projects of 2025.
