South African singer Tyla has been named the number one U.S. Afrobeats artist for 2025, according to Billboard’s recently released year-end charts. This recognition underscores her meteoric rise in the global Afrobeats scene, confirming her as one of the genre’s most influential and consistent performers over the past year.

Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs Artists 2025 list places Tyla at the top, followed by Nigerian heavyweights Wizkid, Rema, Davido, and Burna Boy occupying the second, third, fourth, and fifth positions, respectively.

American-Ghanaian singer Moliy features prominently, alongside Nigerian artists Asake, Shallipopi, Seyi Vibez, and BNXN, rounding out the top ten.

The list continues with Fola, Tems, Olamide, Fido, Ayra Starr, Omah Lay, Chella, Kizz Daniel, Zinoleesky, T.I Blaze, Odeal, Young John, Odumodublvck, Kunmie, and Ayo Maff taking positions 11 through 20.

Tyla’s journey to the top spot has been marked by a string of viral hits and consistent chart performance. Following her 2023 breakthrough with the global sensation Water, she has continued to release tracks that resonate with both African and international listeners. Her 2025 releases, including Chanel, have topped the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, securing her third No. 1 single in the United States.
