President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to defeating terrorism and banditry, vowing that Nigeria will never surrender to criminal groups as security agencies ramp up operations across the country.

The President made the declaration amid intensified security efforts nationwide, praising the armed forces and security agencies for their sacrifices while insisting that those responsible for violence and insecurity would be defeated. He stressed that communities facing attacks have not been abandoned and promised sustained government support to protect lives and property.

Tinubu’s remarks come as security forces record successes in counterterrorism operations, including the recent rescue of hundreds of abducted civilians in Borno State. Authorities have also expanded intelligence-led operations, increased troop deployments, and strengthened surveillance in areas facing persistent threats from insurgents and bandits.

The Federal Government has maintained that defeating insecurity remains a top priority, with ongoing efforts aimed at dismantling terrorist networks, securing vulnerable communities, and improving coordination among military, police, and intelligence agencies. Recent security initiatives have included enhanced deployments in high-risk regions and broader measures designed to prevent attacks before they occur.

Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and continue supporting security agencies, expressing confidence that the country would ultimately overcome the challenges posed by terrorism and criminality. He emphasized that the government remains determined to restore stability and ensure lasting peace across the nation.
