Poco Lee’s Management Breaks Silence on UK Sexual Assault Case, Urges Public to Ignore Unverified Claims

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee is facing criminal proceedings in the United Kingdom, with his management confirming that the matter is now before a UK court while strongly rejecting some claims circulating online, particularly allegations involving drink spiking. His representatives have urged the public to allow the legal process to take its course.

The development follows reports that Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, is being held in the UK in connection with serious sexual-offence allegations. Snaresbrook Crown Court in London has confirmed that the case is listed for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026. The court has also confirmed charges including attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. A reporting restriction is in place to protect the complainant’s anonymity.

In its first public response, Poco Lee’s management and legal team said they were particularly concerned about the amount of unverified information spreading online. The team specifically addressed claims relating to drink spiking, stating that such allegations are not part of the charges before the court. They called on the media and public not to introduce details that are not contained in the actual case.

The management also stressed an important legal distinction: being accused or charged does not mean a person has been found guilty. The team said Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence and that conclusions should not be drawn before the matter is heard and determined through the appropriate legal process.

The case has attracted significant attention in Nigeria because of Poco Lee’s profile as a dancer, hypeman and entertainer. He has built a large following through his dance career, music collaborations and appearances within Nigeria’s entertainment industry. He was also recently nominated at the 2026 Headies Awards for Song of the Year alongside Shoday and Rahman Jago for their collaboration “Hey Jago.”
