Documents Applicants Must Bring

Applicants are required to present the following documents at their selected venue:

  1. Completed passport application form
  2. Payment slip as proof of payment
  3. Appointment slip
  4. Self-addressed return envelope
  5. Current Nigerian passport, where the application is for a renewal

Applicants applying for renewal should note that presenting their current passport is compulsory.

Important: No Cash Payments

The Nigeria Immigration Service has specifically stated that applicants who arrive with cash will not be attended to.

Applicants should therefore complete the required application and payment process through the official passport portal before attending the intervention exercise.

Digital Passport Services Remain Available

The intervention exercise does not replace the NIS’s existing digital passport services.

The Service has confirmed that its digital passport application channels, including the Contactless Passport Application System, remain operational. Applicants can also make use of the home delivery service where available.

This means Nigerians who cannot attend one of the intervention venues can continue to access the Service’s digital passport channels.
