“I’ve enjoyed the journey,” she smiled. “From the first single I brought out to now, I feel like my style has secretly changed. My music has evolved, and I’ve explored Afrobeats in a different way. I’m enjoying it. It’s exciting to know you can experiment with new sounds within Afrobeats and still keep the same vibe.”
That willingness to evolve has been at the heart of Preshh’s artistry. She describes her sound as dynamic, a blend of Afro-fusion, Afro-house, and R&B—showcasing her ability to explore without losing authenticity.
For those just discovering her, Preshh describes herself as a “fun, bubbly, and outgoing person” with a deep love for music of all genres.
“I come from a multifaceted music background,” she explained. “I love my Afro-swing, rap, and R&B. My music is a blend of everything I love. When you listen to a Preshh EP, you’ll get a bit of everything—good vibes and emotions you can connect to.”
Preshh’s latest single, “Mystery,” is a bold, flirty anthem that celebrates self-awareness and feminine energy. The track was recorded in Lagos, a decision that added an authentic layer to its sound and feel.
“The deeper I go into Afrobeats, the more I feel like I need to be in the environment,” she explained. “Being in Lagos helps me connect with the culture, the energy, and the people. It’s part of my creative process, understanding what’s out there and bringing my own twist to it.”
Excitingly, Preshh is gearing up to release her debut EP before the end of the year, a project she promises will showcase her versatility and growth.As for the title? She’s still open to ideas.
