Nigerian music label Chocolate City Music has publicly accused rapper Odumodublvck of physically assaulting one of its staff members at the high-profile Rhythm Unplugged concert in Lagos — a dramatic escalation in a long-running feud between the artist and the label’s camp.

According to the label’s official statement, the incident occurred in the backstage area of the Rhythm Unplugged event on December 22, 2025, when Odumodublvck allegedly confronted and head-butted staffer Feyi Ajayi after making threatening remarks about the company and its leadership. Eyewitnesses also claimed that the rapper and members of his team poured drinks on the injured staff member while shouting expletives before security intervened. Ajayi was reportedly hospitalised and is receiving medical treatment for his injuries.

Chocolate City described the clash as part of a broader pattern of harassment, stalking, threats, and physical confrontations allegedly connected to Odumodublvck’s ongoing conflict with Chocolate City artist Blaqbonez (Emeka Akumafule). The label’s statement detailed numerous alleged incidents since late 2024, including a reported altercation at Landmark Beach in Lagos, threats extending to the families of label executives and artists, and confrontations in Uyo and abroad.

In response to the recent incident and the alleged pattern of threats and intimidation, Chocolate City has reported the matter to relevant authorities and vowed to pursue legal action to protect its staff, executives, and roster of artists. The company emphasised that while lyrical rivalries are part of hip-hop culture, physical violence and intimidation are unacceptable and have no place in the industry.

This latest development follows other legal tensions between Odumodublvck and figures associated with Chocolate City. Last month, a chief magistrate court in Abuja summoned the rapper over alleged criminal intimidation of a Chocolate City executive, reflecting how the online feud has spilled into formal legal proceedings.

As of now, Odumodublvck’s team has not issued a public response to the assault allegations, and authorities have not released details of any official investigation into the matter. The music community, however, has been watching closely as what began as a rap beef has taken on legal and safety implications for several key players in Nigeria’s vibrant hip-hop scene.
