Apple Music has revealed the most-streamed song in Nigeria for the year 2025, unveiling a year-end list that reflects the continued dominance of Afrobeats across the country.
The platform’s highly anticipated Top Songs of 2025 (Nigeria) ranking places the spotlight firmly on Nigeria’s biggest stars, whose consistent impact and cultural influence have defined another year of vibrant music.
Leading the pack is Asake, who secures the No. 1 position with his smash hit Why Love. The song has enjoyed massive streaming traction all year, driven by its infectious rhythm, relatable lyricism, and widespread cultural presence both online and in clubs across the nation. Asake doesn’t stop at the top spot, he appears multiple times within the Top 10, reinforcing his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most prolific and influential hitmakers in 2025.
Close behind is Wizkid, whose track Kese (Dance) lands at No. 2. Wizkid’s presence extends further into the chart with his collaborations with Asake — MMS and Bad Girl, both earning places within the Top 10. Their recurring joint success highlights a synergy that fans have come to love, combining Wizkid’s smooth delivery with Asake’s energetic style.
Davido continues to embody consistency at the top of the Nigerian music scene with two standout entries on the list. His track Funds, featuring ODUMODUBLVCK and Chike, and With You, featuring Omah Lay, both maintain strong streaming performance and remain fan favourites. Davido’s ability to blend collaborative energy with mainstream appeal once again shines through.
Beyond the established giants, the 2025 ranking also showcases the rise of fresh, compelling voices in Nigerian music. Artists like Fido, FOLA, and BNXN secure notable positions with solo releases and collaborations, adding new textures to the evolving Afrobeats landscape. Their inclusion underscores the growing diversity, experimentation, and generational blend shaping today’s Nigerian sound.
Apple Music’s 2025 list ultimately paints a picture of a thriving musical ecosystem — one driven by star power, innovation, and the constant renewal of new talent. Asake, Wizkid, and Davido continue to set the pace, but the emergence of the next wave signals an exciting future for Nigerian music both at home and on global stages.
