US Set to Unveil Landmark Deal Backing Saudi Arabia’s Civil Nuclear Programme

The United States is preparing to announce a landmark agreement that would allow Saudi Arabia to develop a civilian nuclear programme under U.S. oversight, marking a significant step in the two countries’ strategic partnership. The proposed deal is expected to strengthen energy cooperation while reinforcing Washington’s influence in the Middle East amid growing competition from China and Russia.

According to reports, the agreement would support Saudi Arabia’s plans to generate nuclear energy for civilian use, helping the kingdom diversify its energy sources and reduce its reliance on oil.
