‘Where’s My Car?’ — Odumodublvck Calls Out Headies Over Unfulfilled Promise

Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has publicly accused the Headies Awards organisers of failing to deliver on their promise of gifting him a car, a key component of winning the prestigious Next Rated Artiste award.

In a viral post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on August 31, 2025, the rapper jokingly, but pointedly wrote:

“I DON FORGET SAY I WIN CAR 😂 HEADIES WEY MY CAR?”

At the 17th Headies Awards held in April 2025, Odumodublvck took home one of the night’s biggest prizes—Next Rated Artiste. Traditionally, this award doesn’t only signify industry recognition but also comes with a brand-new car as part of its reward package.

Odumodublvck’s post now suggests that he has not received his car nearly five months after the award ceremony, a delay that, for many fans and critics, undermines the credibility and prestige of the Headies.

This isn’t the first time Odumodublvck has had a brush with the award organisers. During his acceptance speech at the 2025 ceremony, his microphone was abruptly cut off, leading to speculation and backlash online. Despite this interruption, Odumodublvck remained on stage and eventually completed his speech after the mic was restored, earning applause from the crowd for his composure and persistence.
