Lagos-based singer, songwriter, and producer Tiny Braz is carving her own lane, fusing Afro-infused sounds with house, indie, dancehall, and soul, while carrying the weight of deeply personal experiences in her music.
Her stage name, she says, is more than a catchy alias, it’s her voice, her extension, and her way of communicating with the world.
Although her sound feels global, Tiny Braz draws inspiration from surprising places. She credits the Ajegunle music era artists like Tony Tetuila and Danfo Driver as a huge influence, even though she didn’t grow up there. Add to that her love for soul, indie, and dancehall, and you begin to see how her eclectic style was born.
“I’m what I call a Zillennial—in between Millennials and Gen Z,” she laughs. “That’s why I can connect to both old-school sounds and new-age vibes.”
For Tiny Braz, music has been anything but an overnight success. Her story is one of persistence, growth, and an unshakable belief in her gift.
From freestyling on the streets to dropping her first single, signing a record deal, and now becoming an independent artist and music producer, she has faced both triumphs and setbacks. “There were moments I wanted to give up,” she admits. “But the lows make the highs worth it. Every fall, every win, I’m grateful for it all.”
A turning point in her career came in 2025 when she was selected to join Tems’ The Leading Vibe project. Out of countless applicants, only five producers were chosen—Tiny Braz was one of them.
“That moment was surreal,” she recalls. “My manager pushed me to apply as a producer, not just an artist, and it turned out to be the best decision. Being part of The Leading Vibe was mind-blowing.”
It was proof that her years of hard work and versatility had not gone unnoticed.
Her latest single, Pressure, is perhaps her most personal yet. Written after leaving her record label to embrace independence, the song captures the weight of expectations, adulthood, and grief.
“Independence comes with its own pressure, people waiting to see you fail, the struggle of finances, the ups and downs of relationships. And then, I lost my sister in 2023,” she shares. “She was my biggest supporter, the one who took me to the studio the first time. Before she passed, she told me, ‘You can do this yourself.’ That was the push I needed to keep going.”
The track is a heartfelt reflection of loss, resilience, and the universal struggle of surviving while chasing dreams. “It’s not just my story,” she says. “Everyone is feeling the pressure in one way or another.”
Tiny Braz isn’t slowing down anytime soon. She revealed exclusively that she’s working on a two-pack project.
“If you’ve heard Pressure, you know my energetic side. But there’s another side of me, the soft, calm, baby girl vibe. This project will show both sides. Tiny Braz is two-faced: hot and cold, soft and strong.”
Beyond her artistry, she also produces under the alias Purple Halo, showing that her creativity stretches far beyond the mic. For Tiny Braz, music isn’t just a career, it’s purpose.
“I’m not just doing this for myself,” she affirms. “I’m doing it for women chasing their dreams, for my family, for my sister’s legacy, and for everyone who’s ever felt the weight of pressure but refused to give up.”
With fire in her voice and strength in her story, Tiny Braz is becoming more than just another name in Afrobeats, she’s becoming a symbol of persistence and authenticity.

Because if one thing is certain, it’s this: Tiny Brass isn’t just here to survive, she’s here to shine.
