Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has officially postponed the release of his eagerly awaited fourth studio album, No Excuses, originally scheduled for August 22, 2025. In a candid message shared on X (formerly Twitter), he said:
“I didn’t finish it on time, that’s the truth. Since I want to put out the best album ever, I’ve refused to cut any corners, and that means it’s taking a little longer.”
Though the delay may disappoint fans, there’s a silver lining. Blaqbonez reassured his audience that the album’s new release date is “mad close” and guaranteed to be announced only when it’s “10000000% sure”.
To keep the momentum alive, Blaqbonez dropped a new single titled “Everlasting Taker”, a way to channel fan energy into fresh music while the album receives the final polish it deserves.
Blaqbonez’s refusal to release a half-baked project underscores a growing trend among artists to prioritize craftsmanship over hype. By transparently admitting the album wasn’t ready, he maintains trust and builds anticipation with fans even amid the delay.
