The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Nigerian social media influencer Afolabi Kazeem Micheal, popularly known as KC Luxury, over alleged links to an international cocaine trafficking network. The NDLEA said KC Luxury was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on August 13, as he allegedly attempted to leave Nigeria on a business class flight to Paris.

Authorities said the investigation followed the seizure of 184.5kg of cocaine, estimated to be worth about ₦39 billion on the international market. The drugs were allegedly intended for distribution in the UK, Europe and Asia, with Nigeria being used as a transit hub. NDLEA chairman Mohamed Buba Marwa described the operation as one of the agency’s significant recent investigations and said the suspect was allegedly the Nigerian “arrowhead” of the syndicate.

The agency is continuing its investigation to identify other members of the alleged network and establish the full extent of its international operations. KC Luxury has not publicly commented on the allegations. As the investigation continues, the allegations against him have not yet been proven in court.
