Nigerian Afrobeats artists Pheelz and Khaid recently experienced a distressing incident in Los Angeles, where their vehicle was reportedly broken into by thieves. The artists revealed that their Range Rover SUV was targeted in what appeared to be a smash-and-grab robbery, during which several valuable belongings were stolen. The situation quickly gained attention online after the artists shared their experience with fans.
According to reports, the break-in resulted in the loss of multiple personal and professional items, including laptops, phones, bank cards, and other valuables. Khaid was particularly affected because his passport and a hard drive containing unreleased music were among the stolen items. The loss of these materials was not only financially damaging but also a setback to his creative work.
Both artists expressed shock and frustration over the incident but were grateful that no one was physically harmed. Pheelz described the robbery as a frightening experience, while Khaid voiced his disappointment over losing important documents and music files. The event highlighted how quickly such crimes can occur, especially when valuable items are left in parked vehicles.
The robbery has sparked concern among fans and members of the music industry about the safety of artists traveling abroad. While the loss of belongings is significant, supporters are relieved that both musicians are safe and hope they can recover from the incident and continue contributing to the growing global success of Afrobeats music.
